Work Out Your Own Salvation with Fear and Trembling

With One Mind Striving Together for the Faith of the Gospel
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; and in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me. – Philippians 1:27-30

Fulfil Ye My Joy
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. – Philippians 2:1-4

What was Paul’s joy? I like it in the Amplified version –

Therefore if there is any encouragement and comfort in Christ [as there certainly is in abundance], if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship [that we share] in the Spirit, if [there is] any [great depth of] affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love [toward one another], knit together in spirit, intent on one purpose [and living a life that reflects your faith and spreads the gospel—the good news regarding salvation through faith in Christ]. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves. Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. – Philippians 2:1-4 AMP

Let this Mind be in You, Which was Also in Christ Jesus
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:5-11

Work Out Your Own Salvation with Fear and Trembling
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. – Philippians 2:12-18

The Glory of the LORD is Risen Upon Thee
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. The Spirit of the Lord GOD is Upon Me

Thou Shalt be Called by a New Name
For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. – Isaiah 62:1-3

Be Thou My Strong Habitation

Wherefore Have We Fasted, and Thou Seest Not?
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Is Not This the Fast that I Have Chosen?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Enlarge the Place of Thy Tent

Thou Shalt Not be Put to Shame

A Beloved Brother and Faith Minister in the Lord
But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. – Ephesians 6:21-22

A Sweetsmelling Savour

For This We Know
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. Awake Thou that Sleepest

Be Filled with the Spirit

Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs, and Carried Our Sorrows

In a Day of Salvation

One

Grace According to the Measure of the Gift of Christ

I Will Even Make a Way in the Wilderness
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. – Isaiah 43:15-21

He that Blotteth Out Thy Transgressions
This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. – Isaiah 43:25

Our Father in heaven will blot out my sins and remember them no more. Why does He do that? Not because we deserve it or because we desire it. It is a great gift to us that he takes away our sins but He doesn’t do it as a gift to us or for us. He does it because He formed us for Himself, and He blots out our transgressions for His own self. He remembers our sins no more for Himself. What an amazing God we serve!!! We are His creation, and He loves what He has created and wants to keep His creation for all eternity.

Heavenly Father, please help me remember that I am Your creation and that You do love Your creation and want Your creation to love, honor, and live for You and according to Your will and Your Word. Show me each step I am to take on this path today…for Your Glory!!! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!!!

Woe Unto Him that Striveth with His Maker!

For This Cause

You Hath He Quickened

Quickened Together with Christ

Having Abolished in His Flesh the Enmity

Blessed
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us

  • with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Making Mention of You in My Prayers

We Shall Be Satisfied

We Shall Be Satisfied with the Goodness of Thy House
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. – Psalm 65:4

I felt my heart leap when I read this verse this morning. It was a leap of joy, but not until there was a leap back because it was correction. It seemed kind of an odd verse to get so excited over. It is not one that I have ever heard anyone quote…but it is one I will hide in my heart from this moment forward.

I felt the Holy Spirit say, “You are chosen, and I have used the circumstances and losses of these last years to cause you to come closer to Me, to dwell with me! Be satisfied with the Goodness of My House. Be satisfied with Me! Be satisfied. Am I more than enough, or am I not?” Then my heart did a leap of joy!

See, I have been struggling with losing my business, struggling with feeling that my path seems to be at a dead-end while others are allowed what seems a more “prosperous” way. I have been struggling from losing close friends and because my kids and grandchildren have all moved away. It has been a constant battle lately trying to keep my mind at peace, trusting my Father with….(well, everything!), trying to resist the enemy that would love to use what looks and feelslike failure to destroy me. Trying, trying, trying!!!

Today I needed a reminder that He is using this place for my good and His glory! I am grateful for His voice. I am grateful that His Goodness draws me to repentance. I am grateful that I am chosen and He causeth me to be in this holy place with Him. I am grateful that on this day, during these current struggles, Holy Spirit came and brought His Word, and it didn’t return void but it healed as He promised it would. His Word did an awesome work in my heart and He caused it to leap for joy.

Today I needed a reminder that I will be satisfied when I am satisfied with the only One that can satisfy. Does that make sense? It sure did to me today. His name is Jesus and He really is more than enough. Thank You, Father!!!

Every Man Shall Bear His Own Burden

Communicate Unto Him that Teacheth
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. – Galatians 6:6

Communicate – to give to another, impart, transmit

The one who is taught the word [of God] is to share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his spiritual and material support]. – Galatians 6:6 AMP

He that Soweth to the Spirit Shall of the Spirit Reap Life Everlasting
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. – Galatians 6:7-8

We Shall Reap, If We Faint Not
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. – Galatians 6:9-10

They Desire to Have You Circumcised, That They May Glory in Your Flesh
Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. – Galatians 6:11-13

God Forbid that I Should Glory, Save in the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Remember Now, O LORD
