The LORD Hath Anointed Thee to Be Captain Over His Inheritance
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? – 1 Samuel 10:1
God Gave Him Another Heart
And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. – 1 Samuel 10:9
God Save the King
And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king. Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. – 1 Samuel 10:24-26
Today the LORD Hath Wrought Salvation in Israel
And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death. And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel. Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there. And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly. – 1 Samuel 11:12-15

No Man Can Come to Me Except the Father Draw Him
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. – John 6:43-46
The Bread I Give is My Flesh Which I Will Give for the Life of the World
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. – John 6:47-51
Except Ye Eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and Drink His Blood, Ye Have No Life in You
The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. – John 6:52-59
The Words that I Speak Unto You, They are Spirit and They are Life
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. – John 6:60-65
Many of His Disciples Went Back and Walked No More with Him
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. – John 6:66-71

Whoso is Wise and Will Observe These Things Shall Understand the Lovingkindness of the LORD
O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.
Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; And they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground; A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, And dry ground into watersprings.
And there he maketh the hungry To dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, Which may yield fruits of increase. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
Again, they are minished and brought low Through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, And maketh him families like a flock.
The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: And all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, Even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD. – Psalm 107:1, 17-20, 33-43
